Meet the Author

I was born and raised in northwestern Pennsylvania, but have largely lived abroad in my adult life.

I completed my Master’s degree living abroad in the remote Amazon of Peru, started an edible schoolgarden in the NE, lived in the mountains of Colorado working in restaurants, taught Evolutionary Biology, Invertebrate Anatomy, and Marine Biology in south Florida, and started an educational non-profit teaching science through hands-on cooking investigations.

I ALSO traveled the world as a private chef and superyacht chef, having worked for known plutocrats, celebrities, technological titans, and middle eastern royalty. I’ve cruised the eastern and western USA, Bahamas, Caribbean, Mediterranean, and the South Pacific.

I have lived many lives in my short forty years.

My next journey is becoming a published author and a mother!

I started writing short stories as a child on our electric typewriter, wrote little books and poems for school, and aspired to be a writer and photo-journalist for NatGeo as a young woman coming of age.

Now~ my love of travel, nature, culture, ethnic foods, and diversity of thought, language, and creative expression are all deeply reflected in my writing.

I currently reside in Los Angeles, working as a private chef on a Beverly Hills estate.

I live alongside my two furry companions, Remy the caretaker (golden retriever) and Moonie the guardian of the flock (GWP mix)

In my spare time (ha! Aries women don’t sleep!) I enjoy strength training, thru-hiking, discovering remote locations, sharing food and stories with laughter, meeting new dogs (and people), cozy fireplaces and cups of coffee or tea snuggled with my pups and a good read!
