Resonance of the Seven

A series of cataclysmic events—celestial storms, earthquakes, and social collapse—throws the world into chaos, directly impacting the three young female protagonists—a dutiful caregiver, a captured noblewoman, and a lone assassin.

The story depicts a world where the breakdown of order in one realm—celestial, political, magical—triggers chaos in all others. This theme suggests that balance is a fragile, active state, not a default one. Each protagonists' journey is fundamentally about finding a way to restore balance, either by reinforcing old structures or creating new ones.

Ashara Mitkov is forced to flee her home after a meteor strike and devastating earthquakes hit the Republic of Samara—an oppressive, desert-and-mountain nation. With Middle Eastern and North African influences, the political antagonists hail from the capital of Mount Sefira, a once-glorious city carved into a coastal cliff. Ashara must lead her brothers abroad to safety.

To the north lies the Kingdom of Eisenheim, a feudal society with strong Nordic themes, characterized by its frigid Nordlands, Viking-like clans, and forested Vaettirlands. Lady Lirael Tulleken chases a runaway horse into a blizzard on the night of her sister's wedding, only to be captured by the mysterious Wraithclaw clan.

In the southern sea within the Ivyrie Archipelago—The White Isles of Arundel,—an opulent but politically fractured island nation is caught between a powerful clergy and a wealthy oligarchy. A lowly cook's assistant working on the lavish estate of a Commander, Aeneas Galehardt attempts a political assassination that is soon thwarted, forcing her to flee once again on the run. She finds what she believes may be refuge with a pack of wolves and another hidden aethling.

Simultaneously, a global conflict erupts as the oppressive Republic of Samara invades the Ivyrie Isles, forcing the northern Kingdom of Eisenheim to debate entering the war.

Secretive and powerful factions—the Soelcen Guild, the Aerial Sentries, and the Wraithclaw Clan—emerge from the shadows. They begin to gather, protect, and guide the scattered aethlings, revealing that the young protagonists are part of a larger, ancient prophecy tied to the world's survival. The aethlings are guided toward mystical safe havens or placed on paths to discover their true power. They begin to learn that the physical and political decay of their world is linked to a rising supernatural threat, setting the stage for their training and future confrontations.
